something pathetic (posted: Sunday, October 21st, 2007)

We were in my room, lying on my bed. There are other people
in the room too. A big sleepover. There were foams and makeshift beds on the
floor. And people were sleeping. The blinds were drawn, but sunlight still
seeped through, lighting the room up.

It was just the two of us on my bed, and we were back to
back. Then we faced each other. I had to look up a bit to see your face. Then I
kissed your lips. You tasted sweet. I must’ve caught you off-guard because you
looked a bit surprised. So I looked down and closed my eyes. Then I felt you
kiss my head, and hold me closer. We lied there, holding each other and went
back to sleep. I woke up and shifted my position so that you were facing my
back. Then you adjusted your arm, put it around me, and told me you still loved me.

I woke up at 4pm today. Record late, even if I slept at 5
am. I’ve slept later, but I’ve never woken up that late. Sure, the stress, the
lack of sleep, and the absence of a time-telling device (my watch and my phones
were in my bag)…might have contributed to my record-breaker sleep, but I think
one of the reasons was because I dreamt of you and me. And it felt so right,
you know? I just wanted to continue dreaming, because in my dreams I’m with you
and we’re in love.
